Restaurant ads worth tapping

One offer, a few words and a picture that looks like your place. We make restaurant ads for Facebook, Instagram and Google, run them on your own ad account, and change them when the menu does.

01 · Scrolled past

Why do most restaurant ads get scrolled past?

Most restaurant ads get scrolled past because they say too much: too many words, several offers at once and a stock photo that could be from anywhere. People stop for one clear reason to visit a real place near them.

Picture someone on the couch at six, thumb moving fast, wondering about dinner. Brunch, a happy hour, catering, gift cards and a new patio all fight for the same small square, and a stock plate looks like nowhere. Our restaurant ads are built around one clear thing, shown well, that someone can decide on before their thumb moves on.

02 · One offer per ad

One offer, one ad.

Each restaurant ad should sell one thing: a set lunch for the office crowd, mussel night on Tuesdays, the quiet night you want busier. If you have three things to say, that is three ads, not one crowded one.

Keeping it to one offer does two jobs. It makes the ad easy to read in the moment someone gives it, and it makes the ad easy to judge. When an ad is about mussel night, you know exactly what it was for, and the people who tap already know what they are coming in for.

We keep the words short: the dish or the deal, the day, and where. The menu board name of the dish, not a slogan. If it would not fit on your specials board, it is probably too long for an ad.

03 · Made for a phone

What makes a restaurant ad work on a phone?

A restaurant ad works on a phone when it is sized for feeds and stories, readable without zooming and made to look like your actual place, with your own photos instead of stock.

Almost everyone who sees your ad will see it on a phone, mid-scroll, so we design for that screen first. Nothing gets cropped awkwardly, and the text sits where thumbs and buttons will not cover it. The ads use your colours, your room and your plates, even a quick phone shot of the special, and when there is no photo we design the ad around the dish name and your look. Someone who walks in after seeing the ad should recognize the room.

04 · Where ads run

Should restaurant ads run on Facebook, Instagram or Google?

Facebook and Instagram ads reach people nearby who were not thinking about you yet, while Google ads reach people already searching for somewhere to eat. Plenty of places use both, and we tell you plainly where we would start for what you want busier.

Facebook and Instagram both run through Meta. People there are scrolling, and a good picture of Tuesday's mussels gives them an idea for dinner, so these ads are about being seen by the neighbourhood. On Google, people are already typing "lunch near me", "patio open tonight" or the name of a dish, and an ad puts you in front of someone choosing where to go.

Ads work best when the rest of you is in order. Someone who sees an ad often looks you up next, so your Google listing needs the right hours and menu link (that is our restaurant SEO and Google Business Profile work), and your feed should look alive, which is what our restaurant social media service handles. The ads, the posts and the listing all tell the same story about what is on this week.

05 · Your account

Your ad account, your ad money.

Restaurant ads from Domin8te Media run on your own Meta and Google ad accounts, paid with your own card, and you own the accounts. You set the budget and can see what is being spent at any time, straight from Meta or Google.

We do not hold your ad money or bundle it into anything. You give us access once at the start, the same way you would for your Google listing and social accounts. After that we make the ads, run them and keep them current. If you ever stop working with us, the accounts, the history and everything in them stay with you.

06 · How we work

Kept current, sent somewhere good.

Domin8te Media swaps your ads when what is on changes, so nobody sees an ad for last month's special. Each ad also sends people to a page that loads fast on a phone.

An ad for a dish you no longer make sends people in asking for it. The soup comes back for winter, the patio closes, the set lunch gets a new main, and the ads follow. A tap should land on a menu page or a booking page that opens on two bars of signal, not a PDF menu or a homepage that makes them hunt. If your site is not ready for that, it is something we fix through our restaurant website design work.

  1. You tell us what you want busierA quiet weeknight, the lunch service, a new dish. We start there, not with a list of ad types.
  2. We pick the one offerOne thing per ad, in a few words, with the dish names off your menu board.
  3. We make the adsSized for feeds and stories, in your colours and with your own photos where you have them.
  4. We run them on your accountsFacebook and Instagram for people nearby, Google for people already searching, on the budget you set.
  5. We swap them when the menu changesNew special, new season, new hours: the ads change with it, and nobody sees last month's offer.

Questions owners ask

How much should I spend on restaurant ads?

You decide how much to spend, and you set the budget on your own ad account. Once we know what you want busier, whether that is a quiet weeknight or the lunch service, we suggest where to start and explain why, so you can decide with the full picture.

Do I own the ad account?

Yes, you own the ad account. The ads run on your own Meta and Google ad accounts, paid with your own card. You give us access once at the start, you can see everything that runs and what it spends, and the accounts stay with you if you ever stop working with us.

Should I start with Facebook and Instagram ads or Google ads?

Start with Facebook and Instagram to reach people nearby who were not thinking about dinner yet, and with Google to reach people already searching for somewhere to eat. Which comes first depends on what you want busier. We look at your place and tell you plainly which we would start with, and why.

Can you advertise alcohol or a happy hour?

Sometimes, because alcohol ads come with rules from Meta, from Google and from where you are. We follow those rules when we make and run the ads, and if an offer cannot be shown the way you want, we tell you and suggest another way to say it.

How fast do I hear back after I get in touch?

You hear back within one business day. Send the form on the homepage or email karanhelps@domin8temedia.com and you get a plain English plan covering what needs fixing first and why, ads included where they make sense. It is not a pitch deck.
